Payment Policy
This Payment Policy explains general payment conditions for purchases made through IF NOUS.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
The payment methods currently accepted are those displayed at checkout at the time of purchase.
Availability may vary depending on:
- customer location;
- currency;
- device;
- transaction value;
- payment provider.
We do not recommend publishing fixed payment-provider names until you have confirmed the actual checkout configuration.
2. Currency
The applicable transaction currency will be displayed before the order is submitted.
If your bank or card account uses another currency, your payment provider or financial institution may apply:
- currency conversion;
- exchange-rate adjustments;
- international transaction fees.
Such fees are determined by the relevant financial institution and are not controlled by IF NOUS.
3. Prices and Taxes
Product prices are shown on the website.
Applicable taxes, shipping charges and other costs required to be disclosed will be presented before the customer completes the purchase.
International customers may also be responsible for import duties or taxes under the Shipping Policy.
4. Payment Authorization
When an order is submitted, the payment method may be:
- authorized;
- charged;
- or temporarily reserved,
depending on the payment method and checkout system.
An order is not considered finally accepted solely because a payment authorization has been requested.
5. Payment Security
Where an external payment service provider is used, payment information is processed in accordance with that provider’s security and privacy standards.
IF NOUS will never ask customers to send full payment-card details, card security codes or online banking passwords by ordinary email or social-media message.
If you receive a suspicious payment request claiming to represent IF NOUS, please contact:
6. Failed or Declined Payments
A transaction may be declined for reasons including:
- incorrect payment information;
- insufficient funds;
- security verification;
- bank restrictions;
- payment-provider restrictions;
- fraud-prevention checks.
If payment is declined, contact your bank or payment provider first.
7. Fraud Prevention
We may carry out reasonable security or fraud-prevention checks before accepting or dispatching an order.
Where necessary, we may request additional information to verify that a transaction is authorized.
We will never request unnecessary sensitive payment credentials through email.
8. Pricing Errors
We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct.
If an obvious pricing or technical error is discovered before an order is accepted or fulfilled, we may contact the customer to:
- confirm the correct price;
- offer cancellation;
- or cancel and refund the affected order,
subject to applicable law.
9. Pre-Orders
Where an item is marked as a pre-order, the product page or checkout should explain:
- expected availability;
- estimated production or dispatch timing;
- when payment will be collected, where this differs from a standard order.
Placing a pre-order means you accept the disclosed estimated timing.
10. Made-to-Order Products
For made-to-order products, payment may be required before production begins.
Where a product is customized or made specifically according to a customer’s specifications, cancellation and return rights may be restricted where permitted by law.
Please review the product description and our Return & Refund Policy before ordering.
11. Refunds
Approved refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method.
Once IF NOUS has initiated a refund, the time required for it to appear in your account may depend on:
- card issuer;
- bank;
- payment provider;
- payment method.
IF NOUS cannot control processing times imposed by financial institutions.
12. Partial Refunds
Where legally appropriate, a partial refund may apply, for example where:
- only part of an order is returned;
- a price adjustment is agreed;
- goods have suffered diminished value after handling beyond what is reasonably necessary.
Any deduction will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.
13. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, we encourage you to contact us before initiating a payment dispute:
This allows us to investigate the issue and may result in faster resolution.
Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising lawful rights through your bank or payment provider.
14. Payment Information and Privacy
Personal information associated with payments is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We collect only the information reasonably necessary for transaction processing, accounting, fraud prevention and customer support.
